Which Direction Do They Mature From

Recommended Posts

Hi one of my plants has some nice big chucky buds on them, and i would say it is very close to harvesting it.

my query is this the crown buds are say 6 inches long, and just one or two inches below the crown on the same stem is a couple of nice nugs growing up towrds the crown. these little nugs are no way as thick as the big crown, but they seem to have more smell and crystals and glistning than the crown.

So im wondering do buds mature from the bottom of the plant first and workl their way up to the top :P

thanks Jason

Yeah, light, photoperiod, strain, environment generally, these things all affect how an individual plant will mature.

But usually it's oldest flowers first, moving to youngest. Depending on how the plan forms it's colas, and how and where you grow them, they'll usually follow the pattern of the first flowers laid down will mature, moving towards the eldest. This could go bottom to top, top to bottom, inside out or all at the same time. Just depends mate. :P
