Seasol based nutrient program

Recommended Posts

I decided to post this topic as I am growing using seasol as a base and I appear to be doing allright. It will also give me an opportunity to learn from others who have already done this.

Firstly, I have chosen to hand water, growing in individual pots, in a mix of perlite, potting mix and seed raising mix with some worm castings worked through it. Equal portions of each medium with about 1 ltr of castings.

Now, for seedling/clones, I use 1ml per ltr of seasol, 1ml per ltr of powerfeed, 1/2 ml per ltr roots excellerator. ( Van der Zwann)

Early veg, 2ml per ltr powerfeed, 1ml per ltr seasol, 1/2 ml roots excel and 1ml per ltr multi zyme, ( again, Van der Zwann)

Peak veg, 2ml powerfeed,2 ml seasol,1/2 ml roots excel and 1 ml multizyme per ltr.

Early flower, 2ml powerfeed, 2ml seasol, 1ml multizyme and 2ml canna boost per ltr.

Mid to peak flower, 1ml powerfeed, 2ml seasol, 1ml multizyme and 2ml canna boost.

Maturation/harvest, this is where I currently am, not sure if I will add shooting powder or some other product in these last few weeks, but would appreciate any input that will send me in the right direction to acheiving the goal that I set all those weeks back:-) I grow, not to defy the law, but because I love the plant. I wish I could upload some happy snaps, having some issues at the moment that i'm trying to sort.

Hey burner, I use seasol and seasol only for the veg state, for myself I have personally steered clear of the seed raising mixes and potting mixes as they tend to hold too much moisture for my liking,( as weed prefers a well drained soil), Not to mention the potting mixes also have slow release ferts, that can be a pain in the ass come flushing time. when my girls are in flower it's aquasol liquid feet till flush and that's it. My soil is a compost of grass clippings, composted whole lemons and vegetable scraps, with a little sand to aid drainage. Off of this method I always end up with killer smoke that my mates and I are always very very ripped..... To be honest there is a lot of talk of all these additives etc, just as you have mentioned and what we all forget is that she is but a weed, she grows damn good without our intervention so why try to fix what ain't broke?? My honest opinion is, keep it simple man, the more you mind fuck it with all the additives you can actually do worse than if you let her be, and unfortunately at times we feel we ended up with a killer crop because of all the shit we added......but how do you know it was a killer crop ??? You may have done more harm and had the killer crop if you just kept it simple..... That's my opinion anyway, hope it helps. Oh by the way, with the concoction I have just mentioned, I have never killed a girl of mine nor had any pest issues. Organic all the way......I am in sydney too

Agree, sometimes there is this big cosmic deal made about growing weed, yeah they don't call it weed for nothing! K.I.S.S. and then play with all the fancy stuff.if you want to, don't take much to grow some top shelf brew, it ain't really rocket science unless you make it that way.

"weed"
Noun

A wild plant growing where it is not wanted and in competition with cultivated plants.

I don't grow weeds....

Like any plant, grow it in poor soils with poor nutriens etc you end up with tiny scrawny if not dead plants.

I agree KISS but KISS still means alot of soil prep and/or feeding if you want the plants to grow to the best of their ability. It's far from the case you just 'let them do their thing'

Nailed it Mongy! I think I may have gone off topic here a bit, but what I was trying to say was you are going to gat a yield, all depends how far you want to take it,whether organic or orgasmic. I just thought that some noobs might think it is all beyond them, which has probably got nothing to do with the op
sorry

I am a firm believer that you get out what you put in, i mean this in terms of research and effort... not if you put 30 pounds of fert you will get 30 pounds of yeild lol

The only problem i can see with the OP's nutrients is that they might be getting bit too much N in flower and not enough P
