Should I worry about this?

Recommended Posts

Found several occurences of this on the trail today after the rain, in places it looked like a trail dribbled by an animal, and then in several spots around the outside of the fence on one of my plots.  I have never seen this up there before, and I have been bushwalking up there in all kinds of weather off and on for over 10 years.

I only saw it on bare soil, but that doesn't mean it might not be under stuff.  Weird thing is that it is in several places around the outside of the fence, but absolutely none inside.  I am assuming it is some sort of mould or fungal growth.

If anyone has ever seen this before and can let me know if I need to worry about it anywhere near my plants I would appreciate it.

Also, feel free to throw around some magic mould pisstakes.  I'm pretty sure this is the stuff Jimi Hendrix mixed in the soil he grew his weed in, lsd buds of unparallelled potency.  Made him think that barbiturates were lollies when he got the munchies. (why oh why did you have to die Jimi)

I think as an experienced grower it would be to your advantage to define that particular strain, to find out as much about this as possible and to what effect it may or may not have on your plants, some striking  information has come to light on mycoloi over the last couple of years

Did some googling, found some written descriptions that sound similar, but no pics anywhere that look the same.  Sounds like some sort of fungus, and according to some people it's best to leave it be as fungi apparently provide benefits to plant life.  I'm the first to admit that I have no natural understanding of botany or horticulture, so it was mostly gobbledygook to me, but I'm happy to go with the agriculture for dummys version.  As for relationships with my plants, I hope not, I don't want them to get pregnant till after they marry the right boy.  Should dissappear as soon as it dries out.

And unfortunately Jimi thought that all drugs were all you can eat lollies.  Made some of the best music ever whilst on his short lived bender though.
