harvesting methods

Revegging a form of harvesting? Confused. 4 to 6 hours after lights out pull plants all the sugars and crap in the plant return to the roots at night making the weed taste a lot better. Starve ur plants of water for couple of days before harvest. Let the root system sit in boiling hot water shocks the plant in to thinking its dying so it pumps everything into the flowers to save them. Really no way to tell how much of a difference these procedures make to the potency but what is certain is the way u dry, cure and store ur weed. That's what u want to learn and master

I plan on re-vegging a plant this year. I have done no research on it, as yet,  but was planning on simply switching back to veg nutes after I trim off the main buds (leaving some small branches of course). I believe she is; sweet seeds black jack, planted outside, in the ground.

If anyone has any advice on re-vegging please feel free to chime in.

I tried to re veg a stuffed it. I shoudl have trimmed off all un-needed branches. Then increace the humidity a little, putting under a dome. I think this encourages new root gowth, and that in turn helps the plant go back into a veggative state. Dont over do the humiduty or it will go mouldy.

Check everyting I jsut said, Im not certain.

I have re-veged a lot of plants. success rate has been about 7/10.

Not much to it, Cut the plant off about a quarter way up leaving around 6/10 of the lower branches,  leave some of the small buds on those branches. Turn the light up to 18 hours a day and go back to using veg nutes.and just treat the plant as you would normally.

In three weeks regrowth should start to appear in the form of three fingered leaves growing out of the buds you left. A few branches will grow out of each budding point so at some stage you might trim some out. Depends on your style of growing. Once you are happy with the plants progress carefully trim away the remains of the old buds.because rot or mold can form in them.

Don't worry about leaves looking deformed, the plant will grow through that stage and soon look like any other plant grown from seed or cuttings.

Keep it simple and good luck. Come back and let us know how it turns out.  :)

hi all. so far, i have only come across harvesting methods which kill the plant. i have heard of methods to harvest the bud without killing the plant, but cant find it anywhere. can someone point out what its called and link me?

Simply trim the buds of you favorite plant, flush well and put into 18/6 then feed again in 2-3 weeks with a correct vegging nute

Why on earth would you flush then leave the plant for three weeks without any food ???

The roots are developed, the plant still has foliage so it's business as usual. Leaving the plant without food is going to slow down development, stunt any growth and probably lead to the plant dying.

I agree why kill a perfectly good advanced plant that's gonna grow twice as big in half the time.

back in the 90's when I started smoking, for some reason we used to talk about 2nd and 3rd generation plants lacking power... I have no idea if there is any truth to this, but is the reason why I thought people pulled plants most of the time, rather than revegging
