i want to cut my plant to it grows two heads, its on it's 4th set of true leaves, when do i cut? its about 5 inches tall.

You can also tie the top down below canopy level to get more main branches.

 

I usually wait for about 5 or 6 nodes [i wait until it starts to grow bushy - ie grow the branches thatll be the main stems], then cut the top two nodes off and make a clone out of that, then strip the bottom branches off. This leaves me with 4 main branches [2 nodes].

 

Id usually grow a bush so after it gets to about a foot I bend the 4 branches down for a week or two then let it grow freely from there.

 

Whats the main reason for wanting 2 tips? It might be wise to just tie instead [it does the same thing in the end although the plant structure will be more dense].

hi TYO84, tie it down mate. from memory this is a young plant we`re talking about, yeah? you don`t wanna go cutting it back now. tie it down GENTLY and youll get the extra branching youre looking for. hope all goes well.
