How small is too small?

Recommended Posts

Good thread

A story I heard which I have no reason to believe to be untrue was that some guy, one of the few to successfully grow a million dollar amount, used to grow exclusively in 4 inch cubes. He kept a couple of big mother plants, cloned continually into the Grodan cubes, put the rooted clones onto trolleys, soon as they were vegged they were wheeled soutside and flowered, then wheeled inside and trimmed.

In regards to the plants you've done captain I think you've done very well to keep them as healthy as they are. It's obvious you understand when to water, the feed strengths, how the cubes dry out etc etc, far from a noob effort, good shit, well done. Only thing I'd suggest was you may have flowered them a little too big, but hey, if you get them all the way to the end of flower, well then they will be just right won't they so...

I used to flower these around the 200mm tall mark. 150mm x 450mm x 150mm trays. 100% Perlite. Hand watered. Basically rooted, vegged a couple days, bang, straight to 12/12

This sativa grow in the bubbling res pot idea worked heaps better than expected. I think the pot held about 5? litres of perlite plus the self watering res that held about 1.5 litres, which I stuck 2 airstones into... it needed daily checking to top up the tiny res but man it worked,... healthy all the way, even with a root trim 3 weeks into flower!!
