Wa Police Make Cannabis Crop Seizures, Arrests

Recommended Posts

Police in the Great Southern region of Western Australia have seized hundreds more cannabis plants in the Denmark area under Operation High Tide.

Ten people have been arrested in recent weeks.

Police have seized about 700 cannabis plants in the past fortnight in raids on properties in the Denmark and Walpole areas on the State's south coast.

Operation High Tide is targeting drug suppliers in the region and is being driven largely by strong public support.

Many of the plants have been discovered in dense forest and some on crown land.

Detective Senior Constable Paul McKenna says a haul of 200 crops last week included some huge plants.

"One of the plots they did this week had 25 but they were huge, nine foot to 12 foot," he said.

Two people were arrested as a result of raids last week.

Only two people caught. Good. That means they didn't really make a dent in the industry. That 700 plants is nothing and all they have managed to do is teach the growers where not to grow. The same people will be growing more dope in more places next year. They expect a handful of plants to get ripped off by police. What a fucking waste of tax payers money.
