Hey thanks for replies.

 

Went to hydro shop in my area seems they don't carry a lot of CFL related stock only had the full mounting kit by ezi which are 30 each not to bad but the setup I want to run is just using the standalone adapter on a power board found them online for about 10 bucks but I like to support my local economy guess I won't be able too.

 

Sorry merl1n I should have specified. I am after just the regular CFL fitting standard household bulb. Thanks for the info

 

Cerberus I had the same issue thanks for the fitting size might make finding a local supplier abit easier

Nibbs, I aint sayin they are 'Stupid' at all, Ive just seen ppl do this shit before. This is why with the little info given, I have given caution as the first step and a little info on why to be cautious. No judgement. Just be bloody careful is all.

Dont waste ya time.......... you just gonna upgrade anyway, may as well get the right shit the first time.

Your not SAVING money doing shit on the cheap...........your COSTING yaself money in the long run by not doing it right first time.

Thanks captain c , may have to go check them out for something similar to that from bunnings be premade for around $15 comes with a halogen light which is just for the bin had to cut the plastic(no wirring) abit to fit the 50w(actual watts) cfl in tho got 2 may get 1or2 more

Okay, cool, Are you using 50 watt cfls, or 50 watt equivalent cfls (11 actual watts approx... late night stoner estimate)

 

Get as high wattage as possible in a cfl, because they really do not yield very much, especially at low wattages.

 

Also do you know what colour temperature your lights are?

G'day minzone .

A few years ago i paid $12.50 . Bulbs were around $8 each !

They suck ....A bit dodgey !

But they work !

I got the chandelier from a demo yard ! $12.50 and holds 5 bulbs !
