Dehumidifiers....anyone use these?

Recommended Posts

Hey Slipper I will purchase a dehumdifier next year to run and just wanted to know if you run yours inside your grow space or where you draw your air from ?

I have seen people building a small room or a box to keep the dehumdifier in then draw the dehumidified from there so you basically pump the "dried " air into the grow space .

All good info here, thanks heaps.

I can't really be adding any extra noise (motors) and heat to my grow space which is unfortunate but an absolute necessity.

So far my humidity has had a max of 72 during 2 days of rain and drizzle. Sits at around 40/50% normally. Not sure if this will pose issues regarding but rot or not. My first grow is a practice with a few autos, but my first real run will be with strains with genetics conducive to avoiding rot. Hopefully my trial run will be in the worst conditions during summer.

I might try the silica reverse filter idea when I flower, worse case its a hundred down the tubes.

I have flowered a number of times with humidity reaching the high 80's at times. Plenty of oscillating fans is the key for me avoiding mould. As long as there are no still spots in the room you should be able to get away with it.

Naycha :peace:
