uh i was wondering wat the standard ph is for tank water....isnt tap water high in ph?

Tap water ph all depends on your supply and varies quite dramatically around Australia, tank water ph also differs from place to place as rain will pick up the soil dust, leaves, etc., from roofs and gutters.

Yeah, tap water can vary wildly, although I've heard that most cities water supplies are on the alkaline side. Still, it's always best to check it yourself, and this couldn't be easier with a simple dropper ph tester. Great things, never off, well, unless you're completely colour blind...

And yeah, you need to provide as much information as possible, particularly when you don't have a cam and can't post up pics of the plants. It's extremely hard to help out when you only get one piece of information. Justa tip for next time, but you need to describe the environment, (where the plants are,) and the plants themselves, (colour, location of problem, be it tips, middle or base of plant, age, height, etc.) The more you tell us, the easier it is to diagnose a problem. :P :D

But it could have been any number of things. Ph, overwatering, over fertilisation, underfertilisation, chemical drift, (like when herbicides or products which are used on nearby plants drift onto your mj, and can cause probs) or a few others, including diseases like root rot and bug infestations. It's just such a wide difference between the possibilites based on the information you've given.

Better luck next time Red Dragon. :P
