Five Arrested After Drug Phone-in

I guess the most we can hope for then is that these types of media witchhunts are cyclical, and once they've achieved their point scoring aims they'll find something else. A bit like when a junkie overdosed in a toilet cubicle and crushed her baby a few years ago, and the fall out caused a mass hysteria about heroin, which was always a serious drug. But when there's some momentum or even potential then the media will be there with special in depth reports and then the cops focus their energy where there is publicity, presumably to detract attention from the laws they break.

So fellow smokers and cookie monsters while we ride out this storm let us ponder what ever happened to the previous drugs of major concern. Why is weed all of a sudden of so much concern to society but drugs which actually kill and ill those that abuse them have been conspicuous in their absence.

End of rant.

Does anyone know any detail ?

how many plants, what kind of sentences they are giving out these days ??? I had someone report me..

and the cops came but had no warrant.. so they just left and havent come back since.. do you think they will come back ??

It might take them 2-3 days to get a warrant...get everything outa there..and fast

I guess you were lucky in a way but they got your name on file so that may make it difficult to know when you can safely resume operations.

 

BTW Do you know who reported you polski? And how they found out, I am curious because I am trying to find out as much as I can about avoiding detection, especially in these hostile circumstances.

Luke, I appreciate the wisdom of your rules and realise there is a certain hysteria about hydro mj, in particular, in this town but would like to offer a contrasting point of view. My partner and I live in an inner-city cottage and we like having visitors. I currently have two large espaliered cannabis plants on a dividing wall at the back of my property. They are, simply put, impossible to miss being very large and happy and are nearly 12 months old (I started them at the end of last Summer). When my guest don't know what the plant is I tell them. I usually explain something about the history and usage of the plant. These people know something of my character and generally conclude that if I think the plant is ok then it probably is. No raids, no tip-offs. I wouldn't advocate this for everyone but I believe in walking the talk. When I visit them I often give them some of my previous harvests. I dislike being in the closet. I chose to inform my friends and take pride in my plants. By sharing with others I like to think I'm shifting attitudes or, at least, offering an alternative to the regular "Cannabis is evil" articles printed in this town's one shitty newspaper. Oh yeah, don't get me wrong. It'd be great if we could all take such stands, and sometimes, I've considered "outing" myself in the past to friends and family as a grower. I personally am quite open about my using pot, as are many of my friends and colleagues. Let's face it, you can't really hide it when you smoke buds as good as mine.... :: But growing, well, that takes some guts to admit to. I must say I applaud you for your stand.

 

Unfortunately, I doubt that many would be able to takes such a stand, well, not until they'd done a substantial amount of research into the views of those you planned to tell. And if you do tell anyone, all it takes is one moment of jealousy, rage, hate, revenge, or in some cases a misguided sense of duty to bring the whole thing crashing down around your head.

 

It's a travesty when a plant becomes illegal. What right has humanity got to legislate evolution?

phone ins are fucking bullshit man, i know its probably not proactical but if they want the public to report stuff they should make them do it face to face with the cops, then how many would bother?? i mean any dickhead can pickup the phone and dob someone in or even make it up, do they take any details off people or is it all anonymous? if its anon whos to say they arent making the whole thing up? besides that probably most of the calls are from people exacting revenge or causing trouble for people they know and they may even be commercial growers trying to kill the competition in a town or something. So if they had to go into the station and give their details probably most wouldnt bother.

As for the guy who got caught, just coz they didnt serve a warrant dont mean they arent watching you, so dont try get rid of by taking it outside the property or putting it in the rubbish bin. Come to think of it i dunno what the best way to get rid of shit would be if you had to stay in the preoprty, maybe soaking in water and soap powder or sometihng to cover the smell then burying it under the house where it would just rot away, has anyone else been in that situation?
