cloning

Hi guys, quick question on cloning here. When growing outdoors how soon is too soon to take clones? Is it fine before the sex is showing (with the hope of course they will turn out female!) or do you need to wait until the do start to show the sex? Just thinking it would give a longer grow period the earlier you actually do the cloning, even if some need culling due to turning out male? (only running regular seeds for my normal plants, but using feminised for the auto's)

No there is nothing to stop you taking clones before they have been sexed.

u can clone wen ever u want but preferably prior to flower

personally i prefer to wait till the are on alternating nodes

so they generally have shown sex by then

but as ozzy420 says u clone earlier

its all a personal preference imho

the sooner you take clones, the sooner they grow roots, the sooner they can flower...

if they turn out to be males at least you've had experience cloning.

Thanks for the replies guess my main thought about doing it earlier rather than later means more time for them to be veging hence should become bigger plants and give out more buds in the end.
