Light Timers for HPS

Recommended Posts

Hiya Naycha-cheers man....I want to do this for sure-its just finding the time at the moment. I was going to have a crack during the summer break to be ready for after summer-[plus I'm not too confident with electricity stuff  )  If I can get through until summer i'll have some decent chunks of time to put one together-it did catch me by surprise though and I'm scramblin.  Thanks heaps for the link Naych ;)

Peace onya. v :sun:

Put one of these together and you will never have a timer fail again.

Hi OzStoner cannabis community :peace:

Yeah hi, well I made up my timer/contactor and it is all working a-1 'cept my light isn't firing (400w hps)?  I get power to the outlet when the timer clicks over but she's not firing until I turn of the switch (that the plug to the light is in) and back on again-then she glows up.  Its turning off okay, and at the correct time.  The timer clicks over and powers the 4 socket board (the light is the only gear that is plugged in)that the light is in (the little green light on each outlet turns on) but the ballast won't fire until I turn it off-then on and it fires right up?  any suggestions or reasons ya think might be the problem?  I'm pretty sure that its all wired and plugged correctly-no dramas and I have been  keeping a good eye on it but its like the power gets to the board but has insufficient ??? to run the ballast. I'm stumped  I am unsure of what I should do because I have only 2 days to rectify this before I head to the big smoke for a few days and I don't want to lose these plants cos I have no medicine 'cept seeded trimmings and the last of half-grown herman.  any help would be greatly appreciated.

Peace all. v :sun:
