MUSICIAN David Crosby has been arrested on marijuana and gun possession charges at a Times Square hotel, police said.

Crosby, 62, a two-time inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, had checked out of the hotel but left a piece of luggage behind, police said.

A hotel worker found the bag and went through it looking for identification, and called police after finding marijuana, a .45-calibre handgun and two knives, authorities said.

Crosby was met by police when he returned to pick up the bag, investigators said.

Crosby, a founding member of both The Byrds and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, had been performing at the B.B. King Blues Club off Times Square and at Shea Auditorium in Wayne, New Jersey.

In 1985 he was convicted of drug possession in Dallas and spent a year in prison before his conviction was overturned on appeal.

Calls seeking comment from Crosby's management company were not immediately returned today.

He obviously stashed all the stuff he was carrying illegally in one bag. A little stupid to forget that bag though, this will cost him more then he likes, or deserves, for that matter.

Once I had 100 grams of hasj stolen (my private stash) out of a hotelroom by one of the cleaners here in Holland and I complained about it at the hotel desk, :), differend worlds, uh?

Nope, I didn't, the cleaner told them it was thrown away with some other trash and no one had seen it. Problem was, in those days I lived in that hotel, for a few months, and that room was such a mess all the time this was a possibility...but my guess is they knew what it was and didn't throw it away, it was 1st grade maroccan btw.
