Question

The wife and I have medical problems between us. I have had discs removed from lower back and neck and have had bone graft fusion on the neck recently. I also have a duodenal ulcer from my earlier drinking days and have now been diagnosed with emphysema. The wife suffers from Chron's disease, has Fibromyalgia syndrome, has had lower back fusion and also has Arachnoiditis from the surgery.

We both have nature's gift to thank for making life a bit more bearable these days. It used to be just a recreational and fun thing for many years but is now part of our medical treatment along with other perscription medicines that we cannot do without. I have recently given up smoking due to the emphysema and have been using a vaporizer with great effect to be able to continue with our friend the weed. The wife is still on the bong (we've always mulled with tobacco) as she doesn't want to waste the tobacco we have left and is weaning herself off it slowly. I just decided to do it cold turkey and fuck is it hard to do. But persistence pays off.

We use more indica based strains for now as they seem to be better at helping the appetite, improving the sleep cycle and an immense aid in pain management (it doesn't make the pain go away, its just helps you care less about it). But we miss the heady stone offered with the sativa strains and will be looking at fixing that in the near future as an alternative. Plus the vaporizer offers such a pure flavour and after-taste that different strains will give us variety. I have written elsewhere of the vap, an Arizer Extreme Q, that should be checked out by anybody interested in the health of their gas bags (lungs). Stay safe, ITS420.
