Best outdoor autoflowering strains.

Recommended Posts

Haven't had much luck with auto's in the past. Last time I tried to grow about 3 types. Diesel, blueberry and lowryder 2. Experimented with using egg cartons. Seemed a good idea in theory. I figured the roots would grow straight through the cardboard carton and it would be easier to transplant them.

Ended up with bonsai ganja. Smallest plants I ever saw. I waited fruitlessly for them to get bigger but they never did. The cardboard must have been poisonous or something. The roots never grew into it. You wouldn't believe how tiny the plants were. Micro fucking scopic guys. Bizarre looking things. Waste of good money but I learned never to experiment with expensive seed.

I've got 3 auto silver haze going now. Just starting to grow their second set of true leaves. The single blades are nice and fat. A couple of months to wait now. Ofcourse I'd be remiss not to test a little leaf in a few weeks. Was just looking around the web for good strains to try next.

Critical Jack must be good if its a Jack Herer descendant. Spent hours combing through the demon seeds site and adding all the auto regular seed types to a wishlist. They are hard to search for as you have to search either regular or autoflower. Can't search both very well. Anyway, many of the best are out of stock. When I have a few spare dollars I'll go through the list and pick out a selection.

Any recommendations for other seed banks? I've noticed Demon seeds doesn't have every autoflowering strain out there.

Back at Demonseeds, checkout the new White Label offerings... skunk automatic (auto skunk#1), super skunk automatic and white haze automatic. From what I have seen of these in northern gardens, I definitely want to try them out.

Try Herbies too

Thanks louise. I think I'm going to buy some feminised seed and try to cross the females to make all female seed. Never tried it before but most of the best auto's only seem to come in feminised form.

Whats herbies nici? Is that a seedbank?

Hey outlaw as far as seed banks goes its prob personal preference and success rate of shipping by the seed resellers, there's plenty of them out there !!! as far as "best" outdoor auto flowering strains ? well i personally feel its not so much as best strains strains but recognized and proven breeders ( I , myself person like grass o matic , and DNA genetics ) when it comes to auto flowering plants.

I have had some experience when comes to autos although nowhere near as much as some on here whom I'm sure along the way will drop past and provide there proven opinions in auto flowering plants .

The biggest thing I have found with growing autos outdoors is using a grow medium that has two benefits 1 . Close to ph nuteral, 2 . That the medium u choose is extremely light in density for example half coco half worm castings ( there's a few other mixes I've tried although this works very well but needs coco pacific nuiets ) as autos roots explode when growing and need that light soil to feed through and go mental .

Hope all this helps in some little way but after plenty of research yourself scrolling through auto diaries I'm sure you'll work out yourself what works and what don't and who to listen to and who not to when it comes to advice.

And I'm with Louise ( who definenatlety knows there green thumbs greenest of green ) in asking how you intend crossing these females!

Peace mate and good luck with it all

I started a thread on it somewhere but I haven't found it yet. Still getting used to navigating these forums. Keep forgetting to open threads in a new page so I can get back to the forums quicker. I read that spraying a female branch with gibberellic acid at 100ppm for 10 days will turn it male but it will still have female chromosomes. You can actually cross the plant with itself but that will cause inbreeding. Better with another female from a different mother. Haven't tried it yet.

I was just at PlanetSkunk. They have SuperSkunk Auto available. I think its $38 per seed. Bit pricey.

5 seeds of Green-o-matic for $31 though. Is that stuff ok?

Certainly are a lot to try. Found an old thread at another website which had a thread going on aussie sending seedbanks. Visitors recommended PlanetSkunk, Peakseed.com and gypsy nirvana seed boutique which apparently gives away a lot of freebies.

Ph is something I've never bothered with before. Bought a ph meter decades ago and it didn't seem to work. I'll buy another for $10 or whatever at a nursery and give it a go out of curiosity. Nobody has any problems growing out my way. Good drainage sandy loam. I usually just use potting mix anyway. That should be light enough. I've had to support 6 foot plants growing in that.

I visited this forum years ago but wasn't very active. The only name I remember is Pipeman. He still here?
