How do i slow her down

hi all having problems with my sativa growing to big,grew 10cms higher in last 24hours

 

was vegged for 8 weeks

atm in flower start of w3

in dwc

400w hps

1.4x1.4x2m tent

is a sativa bushstrain not sure on sativa percentage but prob close to 100%

 

in the last 2 weeks shes grown a foot and a half higher

ive tipped 3 weeks ago and super cropped the top of it twice and she wont slow down

 

the other girl is on a watering system,shes goin a bit slower and bit behind the other one both are same age

both in clayballs and rockwel.

 

any help would be great and if anything else is wrong in there let me no im willing to learn

Start tieing it down. 8 weeks is a long time to veg for such a small area imo, i would normally only go a few weeks with a sativa. I would expect it to grow ver large.... I assume he room is absolutely dark When lights off ? I had a shit grow years ago from a small amount of light from my clone cupboard getting in during lights off everyday, the thing just didnt want to flower.. Edited October 9, 2012 by billygoat

i only have sativa seeds unfortantly.no light gets in there through the day i have checked a few times its all closed up with inlet and outlet fans.

how many branches do i tie down?should i get rid of one of them?

Mate they are hard to kill, just bend and tie it all down under a mesh of some sort. Crack all the limbs every inch or somalong the larger branches to limber em up as you bend them down. I would try not to lose any at this stage.

its hard to find a big sativa in a scrog,ill keep looking though.

if anyone has any pics on scroging a sativa let me no please

Bit late for scrogging it now, should have started way back, Tieing it down will help. Tipping it will also slowdown the growth up and spread it out more

You sure there is no light leaks. You have to sit in the room for a good 15minutes for your eyes to properly adjust to the pitch black, then go looking.

Mind you, week3 sativa. the growth splurt would be about right. But 8weeks veg?? and in a space that size, hhrrrrmmmmm, way too long.

If it does go to head you'll need some strings to hold those thin stems up or they will snap.
