Dont grow at all would be my choice , i liver in similar geographical location and i would not even attempt to grow indoors over summer. 2 grows a year leave summer for relaxing nice and toasted .

 

I find it hard to find any successful / brag worthy grows diary's from leds ,on ozstoners or any forums for that matter . I dont think it is due to people not using leds i think it is because people use them and find they do not and will compete against HID .

 

I will keep a look out for your led diary , hopefully you can have good run with your led always interesting seeing peeps give leds a shot .

I completely agree with you guys on the merits of HID and HPS bulbs....no argument there. I have a 400W HPS I've used for flower and is still sitting there, which may very well be the case for this grow too. To be perfectly honest it will be hard to watch plants suffer under led if I can switch the light and have predictable results. But....I said I would, so I will. I'm keen to see if verging is any different than normal under led. That said I've not grown anything but bag seeds before. Waiting for my Mandala 'beyond the brain' seeds to arrive. As most know, the genes in this plant should be better under severe heat. I might do a full led and a CFL/HPS grow of the same strain to compare side by side.

 

If it sucks, I'll fire up for a more serious grow next time round when it's a bit cooler.

Hi Oldman here are the promissed picks of the auto AK47, its in the 8th week since it cracked open it started to flower in its 2nd week of life. It looks to have at least another 3 weeks maybe more they say it flowers in 9 weeks obviously thats from when it realy starts to flower as it showed pistols almost emediatly. Considering it was on 12/12 for 3 weeks in the middle of its life I am happy with its size.

It is very sticky and has a swwetish smell, very interesting If it smokes good I will be amazed at its speed.

And that's quite an impressive plant for 120w draw, my mate would be stoked with something half that ! Quite tall for an auto but looking good. Good luck with the rest of the grow buddy.

Hi oldman like I said its not as good as a 400w HPS but good enough considering the low power used. But I would go for a 200 or 250 watt if you want more than one plant. This auto is from vision seeds and grew the fastest I have ever seen, its still growing about 25mm a day. I have never grown this strain before so I dont know what to expect. It still has 99% white pistols but is now starting to fatten up nicely it will be my last grow till the summer is over. Best of luck to your mate.
