400w kit or 600w kit?

Hello,

400watt kit $ 324

So im only planing on growing 2 plants, but for a little extra i can run a 600 watt.

But considering the extra initial cost and running cost is it worth it for 2 plants?

And i do living in hot qld so the extra heat aswell

If you have the room for the 600w you should go for it!! Heat is easily removed - and the price difference is not much more than $50!

 

I was going to run with a 400w, but after some discussion and planning I am going to stick a 600w in the box now that I have a little more room for it

The ballasts that your looking at are dimmible ,so if you go for 600w ,you can always dim to 400 to reduce heat and power consumption if necessary.

Good site that one. The ballast is dimable only in 25%/50%/75%/100%/110%.

 

I have the same one, bought from them guys no problems, weren't overly impressed with the cooltube but for the price you can't complain.

Just remember cooling will be a problem as I learnt on a Growlush kit 600watt HPS and after many burnt leaves and plants I went for a centrifugal fan and carbon filter with insulated pipe. Cost was $270 but was worth every penny.

 

I saw this one if your on a budget that should fill the gap.
