What size intake fan?

Recommended Posts

What size intake fan would work in a small grow tent (1.2*.6*1.6) with a 600w cooltube running to a 150mm phat filter, the exhaust fan is a 150mm westaflex fan.

I'm looking at getting a 100m centrifugal fan to use as my intake as I want to keep noise to a min, but I'm unsure, any advice would be great :)

Thanks

Thanks guys, I never thought of using a simple passive intake. I think I'll use that method for now, does the passive intake work well in summer if the room the grow tent was in was 38 decrease plus+?

I was thinking about putting the 100 centrifugal fan underneath the house and running it thru a air vent into the grow tent in the summer months

Hey buzzo, yes you're right 600w is to big for that tent, but I'm kinda planning ahead, I can only use this small tent for the time being bcoz it's fits perfect in a build in wardrobe in my spare room, but I'm moving house soon and will get a 1.2*1.2*2 :)

id peronally run a 250w centifugal for an exhaust

that way passive intake should rip threw

that way u sorted for the hotter months

remembering u need to allow for any corners and junctions and ofc pull threw carbon filter

running off a cool tube aswell u will need to use a splitter

u can get 1 that couples both 150mm to 250mm

air flow is supreme and u can never have to much fresh air

take care and all the best
