high humidity

Hi all i have a 1.4mx1.4mx2.0m tent with a 400w hps was wondering how people keep the humidity down.

You would be better off with a 600wer in a cooltube in that space mate. will get optimum light then. You need a ventilation system...air flow will lower humidity, you need at least a 150MM centrifugal fan , ducting and a carbon filter. If ya got all that, then give us more info and we can help better.... or keep ya fan on 24/7.

i have a cool tube with a inline exhaust fan.i have a centrivacal fan and carbon filter on order.but at the moment i have the 150mm inline 32w exhaust fan and normal 40cm bunnings fan goin 24/7 humidity up around 75% in the day,i also run my light at night time to keep temps down through the day.

Now ya thinkin, and get that centri in ASAP, inlines not real great for HID lights....Centri fans all the way =). Nibs.

hey as nibs has said bigger light is needed for that size tent. that tent size optimum light is 860 watts. im running 1000w hps in a cool tube with a large ajusta shade attached in the same size tent with no heat problems

The light is a bit of a shame,would watts of light depend on number of plants?or plant size?

I Trying a DIY carbon filter with a 100mm exaust fax for a stealth grow.. Will show you end product when I get it finished.. Just waiting on active carbon and I'm testing the smell factor by testing above kitty litter ..

Installed 3 speed centrifugal fan,Removed inline alltogether.Sitting at 58% atm on 2nd speed

once summer comes ill put the inline fan as the inlet fan or is 58% still to high?
