Pharmacy could dispense legal marijuana: Guild

Pharmacists’ experience managing the supply of controlled drugs could put them in a position to dispense legalised marijuana, Kos Sclavos, Pharmacy Guild of Australia national president believes.

 

Speaking at the Pharmacy Business Network conference in Canberra last week, Mr Sclavos said debate over decriminalising illicit drugs was the number one issue on the health side of politics.

 

Mr Sclavos told delegates that while in the capital, he had met with politicians who were looking for a solution as to how drugs such as marijuana could be distributed if they were legalised.

 

“I was talking to some backbenchers about pharmacy playing a role [in dispensing medicinal marijuana],” he said.

yep an when you regester as a drug user it follows you everywere threw the hospitals /med ,

 

i go up the fucking hospital now , with my back , when my GP is on hollidays for some pain killers , an they send me packing cause 20 years ago they put drug user on me med record

and No i dont think the pharmacy should get the dispenseries job, they got everything else from beach balls to perfume, shoes, just about name it you can buy from a chemist, and now they want cannabis too, fark em!!

 

I d like the opportunity to open a collective/dispensery, just because im not a chemist, that shouldnt decrease my opportunities.

i hurt my back two weeks ago, and yesterday was turned away from the chemist, because she served me last week with the same complaint, told me i had to go see the doctor and get a script for something stronger..

 

I decided that a $90 fee plus $ for script wasnt worth it..so i went and had a massage then went to the supermarket, where you can buy as many nurofen that you like.

 

chemist dont care about you or your ailments , all they care about how much money they can get out of you while your sick.

Shit vape I'll help build the thing-I checked out leafly and I have a dispensary 12ks from the house I grew up in. i would have no hassles whatsoever getting a 'script', from an MD or my Orthopedic surgeon in SD.
