CFIDS (aka ME) and FMS

Starfire

Question

Hello to All:

I have Chronic Fatigue & Immune Dysfunction Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. I discovered 3 years ago (after 12 years of narcotics hell) that marijuana was the best medicine for me. I now use only marijuana and am in much better shape than previously.

I would like to feel even better, so I am going to grow my own medicinal marijuana using hydroponics.

I would like to hear from anyone who knows for certain which strains of seeds are the best for the various symptoms of these conditions.

Thank you so much for answering this post.

Love & Light,

Starfire

May I ask what this condition Fibromyalgia is?? lol

Its depends what you are looking for, indica's is more heavier stoneness, couch-lock, physicial and sativas are more uplifting/cerberal, there's bit more infor on the "Sativa vs Indica" posted by a fellow member boulder

Britains Medical Marijuana Experiments, Sativa versus Indica

Since you mentioned that you Chronic Fatigue, maybe indicas might be not suitable since it very heavy and maybe produce more fatigue, so I guess you should look something into more of sativa strain or sativa cross, PM/email from this 420 site to stonedas or Buzzz, they might help you out select some strains for you :P

Sorry it's best I can give you to date, I am still learning more in the medicial area, since I do a lot of canna-cooking and a lot of medicial users overseas consume/digest cannabis. I was told that with people with immue system problems are better off to digest cannabis than smoking it because smoking can make SOME people's immue system weaker, unless someone correct me somewhat ;)

goodluck with your strain hunt, peace, Urbanhog

Dear Urbanhog:

Thanks for the speedy reply!

Fibromyalgia is a neurological disorder with many symptoms. The most bothersome are several sleep disorders and constant pain throughout the body.

I do know about the differences between sativa and indica effects. I use indicas to help mostly with sleep and muscle spasms and sativas for pain and to help with the mental problems (brain fog) caused by both the CFIDS & FMS. There are also some hybrids which help in different ways.

And as you said, ingesting is much better for my situation, with an occasional joint for a sudden, acute attack.

What I am hoping to find out through this forum are the specific names of strains that people with these conditions have found to be most helpful, so that I can buy those seeds, saving myself months or years of experimentation on my own.

Thank you for your help.

Love & Light,

Starfire

Attempt to find an Indica/Sativa hybrid if possible, as this will have the best high and good characteristics for indoor growth as well. Indica plants have a heavy, stony high that is tiresome, and sativas' are hard to grow indoors due to high light requirements, and late flowering traits, so a hybrid can be bread that will have the energetic, cerebral high of the sativa and the early maturation tendencies of the Indica plant.

The Indica plant is easily recognized by its extremely broad leaves that are very rounded on the sides. The Sativa has very narrow, finger-like leaves. A hybrid will have qualities of both and have leaves that are a cross of these two types, thinner than an Indica, but much broader than a Sativa. It is possible to recognize a good hybrid by the leaves once you know what to look for.

Matanuska Thunder

Thai/Durban poison

Chronic

Northern Lights# Haze

Mullumbimby Madness (pure sativa, uplifting high)

Malawi gold (mostly sativa, another uplifting high but hard to grow indoors).

Cheers

Hi everyone,

For the last 27 years I have been an insulin depedant diabetic.I've had more pricks in me than a porn star having on average 5-6 injection daily. As you would image this is a huge pain in the rear end, haha. However, for the last 8 years i,ve been searching the country for the ideal strain for my situation. Now i,ve grown about 30 different recognisable strains, with one genes coming out clearly in front.IMO apollo and cinderalla leave everything else for dead. The up sativa stone lasts up to 8 hours, burning clean and being almost trippy in nature.Unlike the hybrids and the indica strain which weighs you down after awhile, leaving feeling drug f**ked and unable to move. The strains also doesn't give rise to the munchies which can be a killer for a diabetic.C and Apollo are truely a strains that I would recommend to any diabetic out there.
