bannana peels ?

And technically, bananas are herbs, not fruit. B) They're monocotyledons.

Bananas do give off ethelene, which can be used to ripen fruits and is a known plant stimulator. But in MJ? I doubt if there's any evidence out there that it has anything to do with it. Perhaps if you wanted to ripen the seed a bit quicker, but I don't see anything which makes me jump up and down getting banana skins, or ethelyne producing products, (like sensi soak B) ) for the growroom. B)

Besides, there's the issue of the rotting material around dense buds. Mould is an issue that has to be considered. They would supply nutrients, yes, but nothing a good fertiliser or tonic like superthrive/seaweed emulsion wouldn't give ya.

I heard about banana peels a while ago and tried it out. When I transplanted some plants I put 10cm of dirt in the bottom of the pot, then 1 or 2 banana peels and then more dirt and the plant on top. I found that about after a week, the plants had grown quite a bit and had very light green tips. The top 4 leaves on each branch were also very light green, and the stems had thickened a lot. These plants were about 6 weeks old, probably 40cm tall. I tried the banana peel in some seedling pots and that made them turn completely brown and die.

I've used banana peels since, only on established plants, and have found it to work quite well... although I would have to agree with Luke, emulsions are da bomb :D
