transplanting plants after turning to 12/12 is it a good idea

Hi all just a newbie question, ive got a big bomb and thc bomb from bomb seeds

going at moment i just switched to 12/12 a week ago, i was wondering if it is alright to transplant them

into bigger pots or would this cause too much shock. ( im afraid of hermi-ing them) The reason i didnt do it earlier was i didnt have any money to buy bigger pots. Cheers

If they need repotting I'd do it. They are more likly to hermi if they are root bound or give you other issues. Best to do them earlier but better late than never imo. I'd be surprised if they hermied from it.

Oh yeah they do need repotting the roots are starting come out of the bottom and they

fill right around the edges, still nice and healthy. Thanks

A bit of B1 tonic should help with the shock

The other option is to put your medium into you new pots and then put your other pots straight in on top. The roots find their way and make use of the new space and the plant isn't subjected to any stresses from being transplanted

I'd do this ^^ great advice Ernie.

If you have a depth adjustable Stanley knife / box cutter you can take a couple of sections of the pot out.

I have done that but I cut the complete bottom of the old pot. Works a treat.
