colorado transplant

Question

Hello All!

I am a fresh transplant from colorado, just moved to the melbourne area. (I know......my wife made me do it!!!!!!!!!!!!) Anyways, I was managing a medical dispensary in colorado for about 3 years and have worked with literally hundreds of patients and thousands of strains to help treat literally hundreds of ailments and symptoms. I am well versed in everything medically related to cannabis and feel that I could help provide some great suggestions on many different topics, especially on the progressive applications that are being pioneered in the medicinal industry in the States right now, i.e. edibles, concentrates, growing, vaporizers, etc...

. PLEASE feel free to ask me anything you have questions on as I AM BORED OUT OF MY FREAKING MIND HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :twiddle: lol :twiddle: and I would love to make some friends who have common interests to mine as I am having trouble doing so: I thoroughly enjoy snowboarding, hiking, soccer, photography, exploring, concerts, good wine, excellent food, and good people.

Thanks to all and hello again! :thankyou:

i like where you used to work sounds like fun did people lie to get a medical certificate to smoke cannabis?

I am no expert, but it appears to me that nobody would have to lie to get a medical lincence as there is such a broad range of afflictions that cannabis can assist, everybody who wants to use it legally is likely to have an ailment that cannabis can help.

Hey nici! well to keep it short there is a TON of red tape when it comes to opening a dispensary. But, it is all very manageable. The biggest issue is navigating the county and city laws and regulations as they seem to change quite often i.e. zoning, local law enforcement, city council approvals The State regulations are much easier to manage as they are very strict but well laid out and take a lot of action to change, which also takes a while to go into effect and even if they change if you are already in business you would be grandfathered in, so to speak. It costs a fair bit to get your license and if you wanna grow your own meds to retail that also takes an entirely different application and fees. In Colorado you can only purchase other Meds to sell from other licensed grow ops or dispensaries unlike in Cali where you can purchase from growers. Then the biggest risk of all is that the Federal Gov't still considers it all to be entirely illegal, they do not recognize or allow any type of medical defense in court. Still, working in the industry I was able to change the lives of many ill people and being thanked everyday by them was awesome, I've never felt so satisfied at a job. We only had a population of about 150,000 in my county and did about $2.3 million in sales a year, and prices were awesome: anywhere from $180 to $325 an OZ, and despite what some other shops had, we refused to carry anything our staff would not consume.

So not much differnt to Oz if you are prepared to stick your head up and jump the hoops.

Glad we don't have that problem here. It's the single thing will hold back the USA cannabis industry......It's why onday we will see Australian's exporting hemp and other cannabis products to the USA.

Hey mate,

I did some great skiing in South Island of NZ. Absolutely beautiful, and cheap. Medicine was around along with the other things you like such as wine etc...

I am originally from Canada and found it great over there, except there are a lack of trees, which was different.
