mothers flowering on 24/7 light but why

Ive been growing The Pure for awhile now and a few months ago noticed my mothers starting to flower in my veg tent under 24/7 light. I thought maybe they were getting abit old so i purchased Mandala Ganesh and Hashberry and after all the trouble of raising them from seed, culling the males etc they have started to flower too after only being in the veg tent for a couple of months.

I'm stumped and cutting from flowering plants really slows down the rooting process. My local shop keeper has no idea so here ia am and here arte the grow details...

i have a 2 story tent, clones at the bottom and rooted clones at the top where they stay for a month before going in to the flower tent.

Cyco veg nutrient at about 75% strength, PH6. The nutrient bottles are 2 years old

Temp about 30 which it always has been here in the tropics.

A growlush 2ft t5 4 by 55w fluoro thats about 12months old.

Continual fresh air coming and going..

Any chance you're looking at preflowers? After a couple of months in veg you can expect to see a change in the leaf arrangement and the appearance of individual flowers at the nodes.

heya Calaman, Plants need sleep mate, try dropping down to 20/4 at least, i prefer 18/6. You are going to lose bugger all veg time. You have a plant that has no photo period being given, Imo, your plants are confused as fark. for normal veg applications 24/7 is ok, but mother plants are older and therefore ready to flower.

At first I would of said timer problem, but ya dont need a timer for 24/7.

Confused plants needing sleep? Fuck I read some shit advice in these grow forums at times.

The answer is actually dropping temps in winter combined with the low lighting level from cfl's.

Raise your temps above 10'C and you'll have no dramas even with the cfl's

well, he says his temps are 30C Bufo, so that sorta don't make sense either.............and he has 220w of T5's.........so it aint like he keepin mums under a 23w Bummings CFL..........

I've seen 5 year old mothers under 24/7 with no probs, have a few pistils at the nodes but only from the indicators right up on the stem. Do you have a pic cal? How much flowering is going on?

I have heard some bad things about grow tents

giving off vapors. Just a thought

^ random thoughts like that aren't worth the bandwidth... off gasing doesn't make plants go into flower it kills them.

 

My money is on preflowers...

the fluro's could be wearing out and flickering on and off. check the ends of them, if they are getting dark, then change them as they are on the way out
