Why auto over non?

Ok I am sure this Q has been asked before just can find it here.

 

Why grow auto seeds over normal. I was look at a few on bonza, and there have a few auto seeds that get 1.1 m tall, and give you 400 g/2m. That sounds not to bad.

 

I was under the impression that you crack seed. Place in medium, sprouts, gos to head right away. 8 weeks later you pull your girls out. Done start again. Am I wrong in thinking this. Now they got seeds that are a meter tall

hey i dont grow autos but from what i gather there are great if you have height trouble. dont belive there 400gram yeild dont think a auto has produced that much yet? i thinking of doin a auto grow down the track just gotta choose what to go with

Some grow cos they don't have much space, others cos they want a perpetual sea of green. Can have many different varieties on the go at once and just get an oz or two off each plant.

Not all autos are the same. There are dwarf strains that behave as you describe, and then there are autos that will grow to a metre or more. The larger finishing autos (eg White Label's Snow Ryder) are useful for outdoor growers who have a short growing season (eg beyond 45' north lat). Rather than growing until the days begin to shorten, these plants will bloom during the long days of summer and are finished before most regular strains are half way through.

 

With our long summers finishing before the weather breaks is not usually too much of a problem, but a larger finishing auto can still be useful as it will finish long before the police have choppers out spotting for crops.

If you need some bud quick then autos are great. Also autos are excellent to supplement your regular grows.

The only real problem with autos is the yield. As stix said don't believe the marketing hype.

According to greenhouse seeds the yeild of the Green O Matic can be up to 800 gr/m² on SoG.

My harvested GOM's gave me between 9 - 17g of dried bud each. All up just under 2oz for 4 plants.

Could have I harvested more? Sure, and if you can pull 25-30g off a GOM you're doing very well indeed.

Well thanks for the info. Never looked at them as I don't have height issues. But I like the out door idea.

Have hatched an auto Big Bang for my next tree grow, I'm an auto virgin ,so should be interesting, gonna keep it indoors as long as practical....
