How big can buds on a plant get?

Hey people, I'm new.

 

My friend says that you can let buds on a plant just simply keep growing until they're the size of a basketball. I highly doubt that.

I'm not growing weed or anything, but just out of curiosity, how big can each individual bud on a plant get before they have to get harvested / do not grow any larger?

I'm no expert.....unsure about indoor....but outdoor that could be a good possibility? There is one strain Kiwi 2 pounder, Havn't grown it myself but read up abit about it, buds on that strain are huuuge

you harvest by the maturation of the plant/bud and how much light u get mostly determines size. That is y that kiwi fella got that much outdoor. He would of had it growing its maximum time around start of spring till some time late autumn/winter. Though certain types of strains are better. Especially sativa.

It's the same with apples, they stop them growing hand size so they're easier to eat...

Oh yes that is very doable so long as you can get the light the full length of the "baseball bat". I have seen plants with about 10-15 baseball bat sized buds under optimum conditions indoors.

although wouldn't it be great if we could. someday im gonna try winding buds around other buds and see what happens just on a tester plant. i have seen trees grow into other trees before so yeah doubt anything will happen apart from just a tonn of buds sticking to each other .
