Munchies on a diet..

I'm trying to lose a lot of weight. It's working, but it's slower than it should be. (I've lost aprox 10kgs in 2-3 months) I blame my munchies.. all I want to eat when stoned are things like potato chips, ice cream covered in ice magic (or choc quik if no ice magic) pizza.. all the really *good* stuff.

 

However, I'm also spending far too much money on personal training to allow this gluttony to continue! (but oh how I want to!!!)

 

I'm lucky that I like salads and fruit and veges and all that healthy shit anyway because I don't want to be on a diet as such, I'm more trying to change my diet in general...

 

I usually try and munch out on stuff like salad, carrots (soooo good.. crunchy and juicy! WOO!) and apples, nectarines are awesome when in season.. but more often than not I don't want that stuff when stoned!

 

Does anyone have any low fat low carb kinda munchies? (I'm not one of these atkins freaks, but eating fat soaked potatoes at midnight really isn't good when you're trying to lose weight!!) As good as carrots are, they do tend to get mighty boring quickly, especially when all you want is chocolate.

 

I'm open to any suggestions, my housemate is also into body building, soo... (we so don't lead a stoner lifestyle before 8pm!) it'd be handy. (and trust me, I'm checking out the other munchie foods and I'll start posting some of my own when I remember what I eat! I'm a fabulous cook!) Oh, and as much as this post sounds it, I really am not afraid to eat. I just want to be able to incorporate munchies into my diet without ruining all my other hard work is all! ;)

I don’t believe in diets ;) ;)~ typical stoner eh , they are fake , I believe in lifestyle change i found that cutting the bad shit right down an balancing my food out proper , trying to exercise more (at home) i try an eat early (before 6pm) for tea, not good to eat to late

i found Minnie toast were grate, Get a juice machine an make your own juice , Like grapes kiwi fruit an watermelon for a quick pep me up

 

remember low gi is supposed to be good now days hehe an try an get low fat milk an gluten free bread (if u can eat that shit) looks up the Health sites an see what other ppl use that low in fat an that hehe

 

hmm Loads of raunchy times will make ya fat slip off.

 

i know what its like to be at a weigh i wasn’t happy with , i was like 100 when i was prego with my bub yrs ago ;) few yrs later i managed to get down to 80 MAN its hard work , i use that ab swing most weeks An it do work an the only other machine i seen that work as well is the Total Gym 1000 its tha workout bench an he classes them as pilaties exercises SO all good hunny ;)

 

I found with my body If I don’t eat when stoned i seam to loose weight even faster, did u know that it supposedly can speed up some metabolism.

 

I love to snake on grapes or sultanas late at nite , Been a body builder I thought he be needing lots of Pasts egg an rice an bread Hi carbs low fat I or something Sorry cant remember now

 

Rice milk is cheap make , some rice an milk in the microwave then add lil bit of sugar or sweetener , some ppl like it without , But I like my sugar an a few teaspoons Don’t hurt u.

I don't believe in diets as such either. I love eating and I don't ever want to be *afraid* of eating. I just have to change *what* I am eating. I've been making HUGE lifestyle changes, it's the only way to do it! When I started out on all of this I was 106kg and a couch potato, I'm down to 95kgs now.. I do two personal training sessions a week, I walk and I cycle. Raunchy times just never come around often enough for it to be aerobic excercise for me! hehehe

As for the body building, yeah you have lots of (pref brown) rice, turkey, chicken, egg whites yeah.. but its mostly about dropping body fat so you can show off how cut you are, so pigging out on chips isn't going to do him any favours! And most of them will not eat carbs after a certain time of day, usually not after midday because it just stores as fat if they don't use it.

 

Grapes *are* good.. but how on earth do you *not* eat when stoned!!! hehe ;)

you gotta smoke more lorelei, smoke hard from morning till night, at first you'll put on a bit from all that munchies, but as tolerance builds, munchies will dissapear, when I'm so hungry my guts are feeling bad, few cones always calm it down and dont make me so hungry any more.

 

bit of a stereotype, but chronic stoners are always skinny, recreational smokers are often not. Smoke more, especially if you buy your weed, you wont be able to afford food then.

hehe i chew gum or smoke ciggs or have milk , seams to fill me feeling miss spunkett hehe

 

some times i cant controll my self, when im havina big week thou (smokin when get up tilli go to bed) i eat fark all an eat really weird shit ;)

 

miss the big times but need rest hehe

its true i find that most non rec smokers are usally skinny ;) but u allways have a fatty stoner , hmm i was one once

hehe I'd never get anything done if I toked up all day. The guys at work would probably love it though ;) I don't particularly want to do that anyway. Besides, heaps of all day tokers I know aren't exactly small. ;) Two of them are veritable bhuddas! (but their alcohol intake probably contributes to that moreso than the pot does! haha)

And its not skinny that I want to be. ;) It's all good, I've just gotta learn to control those munchie cravings a bit better. (And I am broke anyway, so that's been pretty good for weight loss!)

when ive got the munchies a few bananas are always good, and fruit in general is always nice 4 me. i think you need to take your mind of the munchies by doing something that requires concentration.

 

go for a walk where you cant get to your snack supply, and dont bring cash cos your bound to pass a 7-11

Try having a big jug of iced water or maybe diet softdrink or cordial and drink heaps. Will calm munchies. Carbs are bad, especially before sleep. If you don't burn up carbs within about 4 hours of eating they are converted to fat.

 

So try to eat carbs for brekky and lunch, and for munchies at night try to stick with meat or salads or low fat dairy products. Too much sugar is bad too, which unfortunately means heaps of fruit will make it hard for you to lose weight believe it or not.

 

If you get mega munchies, toke up some more so you pass out instead of pigging out ;)

Bong on, it's not a 7-11 I need to worry about cuz we don't have them in WA ;) It's the 24 hr McD's around the corner I need to watch out for!! It's a good idea to do something like walking to get my munchies except I normally don't start toking it up until about 8 or 9 at night (even on weekends when I don't have to be at work), and being a girl I'm not about to go walking or cycling on my own and stoned. That's just asking for trouble!!

 

Pipeman; yeah, Cotties orange crush cordial with lots of ice rules.. or even just plain cold water with lots of ice and a splash of schweppes lime cordial rules.. especially on those hot summer nights! I'm a big fan of ice, I could chew or suck on that allll day. Think I just found my diet solution...

think of it like a pavlovian response to a stimulii....

 

so if you retrain your brain so that every time you smoke you fuck someone or go off and masturbate then you shouldnt have a problem with those extra pounds piling on because of the munchies...
