Hi all,

I’ve been pondering pot sizes for some time now and wanted to start a thread to get everyone’s different experiences.

Currently in a 1.2x1.2x2 grow lab

Medium : Canna Coco 40% perlite

Nuts: Canna coco A&B

Lamp: 600 w HPS X 2 in cool tubes

pot sizes : 4 X 28L

Instead of 4 x 28L pots, what about 2 X 50L pots?

Would 2 X 28L pots be sufficient for 2 plants in a 1.2x1.2x2?

I use a 52l pot in 1.2X.1.2X2 tent. One pot, one plant fills the tent. 400w light and I got just over a pound off it. 500g per square meter. I dont get close to that with scrog or smaller pots or any other method. Roots equall buds man. I won't be rooting round with smaller pots.

Definitely with Token on this, not to mention you would be stupid not to grow less plants wherever possible, even if you lose a bit of yield....which you won't if you do it right as Token just mentioned. The less plants the better off you will be IF you ever happened to have a visit from Mr Plod. So to me everything just points to growing 1 big plant or two reasonably sized ones if you want the variety........not 4.

pends if u wanna run the risk with numbers...i was a firm beliver of big plants i have ran 1 plant in 50 literpots per 600 watt light average about 12-16 ounces but is a big hassle tieing down and working with em in full flower.....this time round im just running 1 liter pots 24 to a light n should have no worries hittin a elbo per light....but these numbers can scare ppl pands on how ya sleep at night lol :)

Some good advise, I think that 50L is the go! i think that 2 x 28L might be a bit small, sorry Devilspine........you might be right (Im a little low on experience), but I am hesitating and being a typical male - bigger is better.

And Stixs87, what size pots???

So I have decided to go 2 x 50L pots and see what happens. Of all my reading and comments made here, I think that this would be the best option! My dilemma now is whether to scorg (netting or not), token JJ has made many comments that make sense to me and have helped and in one of the above posts he mentioned that larger pots are the go but also "I don’t get close to that with scrog or smaller pots or any other method"..........so I have to think about whether to do netting or not....hmmmm.................
