gnats stuck on buds

so went to check on plants today. I noticed a shitload of gnats flying around.. got the chilli spray out to deter them... BUT, on the most developed and stickyest plant thousands of the little pricks are stuck all over the buds... I have tried spraying them to try and get them off, but they appear to be stuck fast.. anyone had this issue before.. How do I get them off? will they fall off when I dry the plant?

Not sure how to get them off mate and they are really hard to stop I wouldn't be worried about the ones flying around as they do little harm its more the ones that are in your growing media that are the problem I've found the old mosquito coil can slow them down when airborne without affecting your plant

Don't spray a flowering plant with herbicides/bug spray etc, it's not good for the buds or your lungs.

 

At harvest you can give the plant a shower... Literally a shower, for a few min, lots of water, knocks off some bugs, and Yes I find that bugs do leave after the plant is harvested, the shower encourages it too.

This is an old thread. But I did get rid of them at harvest by submerging the buds in water..
