Police begin burning $60m cannabis haul

Recommended Posts

New South Wales police are this morning destroying nearly $60 million worth of cannabis plants seized during a drug raid in the state's west two days ago.

Police finished pulling up thousands of the plants at a property near Dubbo yesterday.

About 200 armed police conducted a dawn raid at the property 80 kilometres west of Dubbo on Thursday.

Police say it was one of the biggest cannabis seizures in New South Wales history.

Sergeant Kevin Daly from police headquarters says police spent yesterday afternoon pulling up the plants.

"In total there were 30,851 plants located on the plantation at Dubbo and those plants had an estimated street value of $59.6 million," he said.

Ten of the people charged over growing the plants appeared in Dubbo court yesterday.

Police plan to destroy all of the crop this morning.

Um.....30,000 plants.....burnning......

Wouldn't that just about get the entire state trashed for a week?

or at least where ever they are burning the shit.

HA. I just saw a late news update (its such trash news!) they had a clip of these unmarked police officers or helpers throwing the plants on to the fire with there backs to the camera (massive smoke cloud), then when they turned round, the smiles  haha. Then they cut back to sandra sully, and she had the biggest grin on her face. hehheeehe.

Some one else said that australia is fast becoming ameircan. to true. it sucks, but the way I see it, the world is kinda pretty fucked anyway ;)

peace
