Teen footballers paid with drugs: pastor

Recommended Posts

A pastor at Port Lincoln says he has lodged a complaint with South Australian police alleging teenagers have been paid with cannabis to play for a local football club.

Pastor Lutz Mueller says he is aware of 16-year-old players being given a fixed quantity of cannabis by club representatives.

He claims many locals are aware of the practice and some talented Indigenous footballers are among the targets.

Police are investigating the allegations.

Well it's good that he wasn't discriminating between the black kids and the white kids :)

The local morning show had a radio host commenting on this story this morning, he mentioned at one point "I've seen football players on marijuana, they're lazy, demotivated, they don't want to be there, they're useless!"

I had to laugh, you've seen football players on marijuana? where? what game? Why we're they all stoned? lol
