Greens call for medical cannabis

Recommended Posts

Ignorance must be bliss. That, or, as your pseudonym states, you're a bit light-in-the-head and don't have two neurons to rub together.

Maybe you could make an arguement with some valid points before you resort to personal attacks. Very mature.

BTW I don't have a lot of faith in the Greens on drug law reform either, but I have absolutely ZERO in Labor or Liberal. THAT you can take to the bank.

hopefully the recent change inleadership will mean a new policy on drug law reform

the thing is its still their established policy of reform and harm minimisation and they havent changed it , its still on their website , their candidates still believe in it

but they have been to shit scared to mention it or do anything about it . like they are worried to upset the conservative right wing media and power brokers who will attack them

i dont expect the greens to change the fed governments policy realistically , but at least talk about it , put it out there on the agenda

the new greens leader spent her first couple of weeks talking economics and mainstream politics . drug reform is a mainstream agenda , a significant amount of people agree with reform and harm minimisation . BUT you have to be prepared to take the heat and scrutiny from the powerful vested interests and the greens so far havent been up to that

still i do like the brewings of the medical reform we are starting to see in australia , maybe that will be the greens tactic to divert some pressure . its early days but its definitely a chink in the zero tolerance armour . hard to argue with qualified doctors and their sick patients with a big law and order stick

The leader does not set Green policy... Christine Milne will have no more freedom than Bob Brown in this matter. Policy is developed by working groups of interested individuals and voted on by all party members.

Over the last 20 years the membership of The Greens (whether that is state or federal) has grown more conservative. Policy changes in this time reflect the attitudes of the membership.

the greens are in the shit and need votes at the next election. this is vote grabbing bullshit.

the sex party need to change their name to get any credibility amongst the older generation.

Well said.

As much as I like their policies I know they won't get any traction due to their name. Maybe it was deliberate, in a honeypot sort of way.

Good one...Rag on the only party with the balls to do anything about changing the law... cos Labor and Liberal are just tripping over each other to help bring medical cannabis to the people. :nutzo: (nice gesture)

As for the Carbon Tax... if youre' sore about an extra 10 bucks a week to clean up the atmosphere for future generations you are a sad specimen indeed.

I guess the same could be said for your maturity - or lack thereof.

come on guys, we're all here for the same reason, I'm sure we can agree to different opinions about other topics without the need for insults :)

Have a relaxing smoke and chill, stoners aren't known for their agressiveness so can we please keep the happy atmosphere around here? :)
