Auto's 24/7

Recommended Posts

I've been growing in half litre pots of HG worm castings in 4l pot of expanded clay in 9l buckets 3 of on top large polystyrene box with water pump recirc and plumbing. The box being the reservoir. I use dutchfest grow/bloom and bounce back. A simple cheap disposable set up. That gives me fantastic results.

been looking for info on optimal lighting for Autos.

I figured 24/7 would be best as it will continue to grow under constant light to give the best yeild possible the genetics can afford??

i remember reading the dark cycle plays a part. I just dont know what these Autos can do.

Excellent question!

I have some autos coming all stealthy from bonza (fingers crossed) that I'm gonna use for round 2 and I was just wondering the same thing.

Had heard from an unreliable source that you lose out on quality if you don't give a dark period but...

18/6 HPS from day one

yep I start at an E.C. of somewhere between 1.2 to 1.5 from day 1 also.

Tall pots,Coco & Coco nutes, watch em go thru the roof

This sounds like a great compromise. Not sure if I'll do the coco tho. Had planned on 2 bubble buckets.

GL Jamin, yeah b great to see the bubble buckets in action.

I had read somewhere, that the mitochondria in a plant have specific things that is does during the dark cycle- sorry I cant be more specific, the 6hrs on 18/6 might be enough, and Im fairly sure going 24/7 light wont add much more yeild - if any.

here's an Auto bean on 18/6, in an Auto bucket.
