Over-fertilisation and wet conditions attract fungus gnats. Allowing the soil to dry out between waterings can help, but of course, isn't possible with plants like Cannabis. They definitely do come in commercial soil mixes. Open almost any bag of store bought potting mix and a few of them will fly out. They are especially fond of potting mixes based on peat and coir.

Hey globenz , no offense with the kiwi stuff(this is where I'd insert 1 of those yellow laughing dots if I knew how to) but your location as new zealand was slightly misleading .Grow mediums and nutrients are something not to skimp on. Gotta add up Risk, power usage all the other bullshit . You only get out what you put in.....most of the time..peace dude

Starting a new Grow, 60 Day auto wonder and a couple of Auto Cheese plants. I have givin up on the random seeds I found as they were from a hymaphridite anyway and I would rather put my time into growing autos and knowing I will get bud..Im growing them outdoor but extending there light cycle with a normal house light to get as much off the plant I can. Anyone growing autos I would love some tips.
