Connected the cooltube , ducting and centri last night . It is pretty noisy atm can hear it clearly out side the shed :/ .

I hope once i get the reducer and connect the centri to the filter it may cancel some of the noise out . I will get acoustic ducting to connect from the centri to the filter . I got a 250 x 500 mm phat filter on hash nibblers recommendation to help reduce the velocity of the air being pushed through ducting .

Was hoping to run light cycle through out the night , but may change to running through out the day so the ambient noise of the day will drown out some of the noise .

Heya TJ =) , Hydro shop should have the reducer, or try an airconditioning place that makes ducting parts if that fails. I have made em outta plant pots before, just cut bottom off and tape with aluminium tape....the king of gaffas.lol

Don't bother wrapping the fan, wrap the duct coming out of the fan in an old doona or blanket and tie on with wire, works a treat. Most noise is air rushing through the duct, not the fan, and I've found the first 3-4 ft after the fan is the crutial area to wrap. The carbon filter being attached will make a huge difference too.

Don't need to spend heaps on fancy ducting and shit. Make it yaself, it's fun. =) . Always good to test it out before ya use it, so ya goin well. Peace. Nibbler.

P.S. Post some pics if ya can makes it easier to see wots goin on and offer advice....
