Art Garfunkel can add one more herb to the pungent foursome "parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme" that he and partner Paul Simon sang about in the '60s.

 

The 62-year-old singer, one half of folk duo Simon and Garfunkel, was busted for pot, according to a New York State Police spokesperson. Garfunkel was riding alone in a limousine when a state trooper pulled the vehicle over for speeding at 12:20 p.m. on Saturday in Hurley, New York, 55 miles southwest of Albany. The officer claimed he smelled marijuana inside the car, and while searching the vehicle, the driver and Garfunkel, found a small amount of pot in the singer's jacket pocket.

I just hope he uses this as an opportunity to use his fame and influence to protest marijuana laws.
