Cloning vs Seed

I have never used femmed seeds so I wouldn't know. I don't like the way that they are created.

Ummm what do you have against silver thiosulfate (Ag₂S₂O₃)? It's used extensively in the floriculture industry.

 

...and also, clones are not faster off the mark. They take like 10 days to just show roots let alone really get pumping.

Obviously, you need to improve your cloning technique... 10 days to show roots is very slow. They should be well "pumping" by then.

Plus, like seeds need to grow into a full healthy plant to get decent buds. It just seems to be that way. Like if it isn't a full mature plant, then the buds are smaller. Whereas, a clone can be quite young from rooting and still get decent size buds.

That was the first time I grew that strain and the first time in that style of lighting. So after all that they still boomed.

You can use seeds in SOG, been done many a time before... Ideal? No, Possible? Yes...of course.

 

Autos are used qiute widely, a few members here use them exclusively. Are they mugs?

Funny thing about growin pot...its illegal. Perhaps the reason no-one "you know" uses em.

Well, maybe I shouldn't have said you couldn't. Of course you CAN do it. I just don't think that it is the best way. And mugs was too strong. I know a lot of people use autoflowering. I am just saying, you cannot say 'you grow sog with autoflowering seeds" ...they are seeds so all sog can be grown with seeds. That wasn't my point. I was talking about general seeds not autoflowering. They are like a particular area.

You can get a good clone to root in 7-14 days and ready to flower by 21-28 days. In my experience cloning takes about 2-3 weeks off the whole process compared with seeds and no males.
