Need Drooping Advice

Hey all,

A mate of mine had two 5 foot sativa females we were growing at his place ( different plants to my plant in the grow thread ), but he has since moved house so they are totally in my care.

I transplanted them straight into the ground with some of their original soil, as they were grown totally natural from seed. And 12 hours later all leaves and supple branches are drooping towards the ground. Since i discovered this, ive topped their holes up with good potting soil, stamped it down nice and hard and gave them a pretty big water.

My question is that i think the drooping must be transplant shock, from what i described can anyone verify this ? Ive never had to transplant plants so i dont know :D

cheers!

yeah it probably is transplant shock. When transplanting you need to disturb the root mass as little as possible. Do not tease out roots or remove clumps of dirt. If possible gently slide the plant out of the pot and into a hole and gently fill around and give a good water. Also, Mj plants like a loose and free draining soil. Never compact or stamp down soil around MJ roots, they don't like it.

maybe some outdoor growers can give you some more specific advice....

Yeah thanks for that pipeman.

we tryed to keep as much of the original soil on the plants as possible, as they were dug into the ground the same at their original location, not in pots.

and i didnt do an elephant job on the soil :D just pushed it down with my foot to take all air sections out from around where we filled them in :(

ill go check and water them today and hopefully ill see an impreovment soon
