With limited experience I would say to you, harvest your plants when the hairs on the heads are white and just starting to brown off.

It makes a difference to what type of effect you want from your plant.

Also give them a good feed of Potash about once a month.

 

High potash = more, bigger buds.

 

Check out "Canna Bloom", hydro solution.

Also, good quality auto-flowering Indicas' will turn over in 3mths. Some Indica's can yield up to 8oz / plant.

Buds should go through 2 stages of developing white hairs (pistils), don't pick until after the 2nd lot of pistillates have browned off (somewhere between 8-12 weeks after initial budding, depending on strain).

Buds started about 3 weeks ago.

So should be ready around end of April?

I will wait till the hairs are red.

Then I just need a good way to dry it.

Put it in the roof space for 48 hours last year and it turned crispy!

Nah, dont harvest according to hairs, and if that's what ya doing, tommy, stop that and buy a 60x jewellers loupe from ebay. Cost around $4, or more, depending where you buy.

 

Use that to check the trichomes, the four headed resin glands coating your plant.

 

Depending on the effect you want, you harvest due to THEIR colour...

Forgot to tell you guys that there is only one plant and it split twice causing three stems to rise. I didn't even top it!

my 2c on your containers they look like cut down wine barrels,dont know how well they would drain,

if your going too use them again next season,maybe drill a heap of holes in the timber floor and put them up on bricks,

better still if you can get em in the ground even better,

The slower the dry the better, otherwise u'll turn it into headache material.

I think? about 30deg is optimal drying temp...don't take my word on that, ur better off checking via the "search facility".

when i harvest i have then in a dark room upside down hangin from the stem on a clothes horse with no dramas and when giving pk top up or potash once a week for 3to 4 weeks during fowering with no dramas but yeah take what info ya want mate and grow them buds fat
