Scattering outdoors to grow wild plants

Recommended Posts

So I am very new to this, I got a fair amount of seeds (50-100 I would say) out of a friends smoke and I wish to plant them outdoors. I have a couple of spots in mind. I was thinking of just throwing them down and coming back to check on them every couple of weeks or so. What kind of conditions am I looking for and what is the best way to go about planting them?

Aint as easy as that. Mice will most likely eat your seed. Trying to think of the exxpression......

"Pull you finger out" Thats the one ;)

But seriously your best off doing some research on the site. Theres a few good pointers in the grow diaries sections as too how to prepare a plot. MOst of it comes down to hard work and experimenting. Plenty of bag seed, and physical effort will see you succeed.

G'day JM.

I tried to seed an island in a swamp near my place. But alas not one starter, this may have been due to a number of factors. The one that stands out mainly, is the fact that all the seed was the "dregs" of what I had. Also the island got flodded 3-4 times with all the spring rain we had last year. This would probably have killed them if they were there at all. There are lots of birds there as well, ducks and swans etc. I'll try again this year, about November, with some really good seed I bred myself. I know this grows well, I have 3 growing in my outdoor grow right now, and they are booming.
