Coco peat

Recommended Posts

hydro can be totally natural

Yes it can, but that is not the question pipeman, the question is whether or not coco peat is to be classified by the government as an "inert" substance (as in the dictionary definition) or as a soil as is potting mix which is no more a soil than a tree is seeing how bark is usually a major ingredient.

If its not the question why do you keep focusing on whether or not coco is "natural" or "organic"? Got nothing to do with it IMO. Soil can be organic or inorganic, and hydro can be organic or inorganic. Just cause potting mix is manufactured I can't see why that turns coco into soil in your eyes. :D

Pipeman, you seem to be the only person unable to understand what I want from this topic, please re-read my posts and check out Lukes replies as he seems to understand the question with no problems.

I AM TRYING TO FIND OUT HOW MEMBERS THINK THE GOVERNMENT WILL LOOK AT COCO AND THE MEMBERS THOUGHTS ON IT.

It has a lot to do with it, do some research on hydroponic medias and then you may begin to understand, in the meantime maybe you should leave the subject to those in states where this is a very serious question that needs answering asap.

Taz Stoner, I have given my opinion, quite clearly, on whether coco should or would be considered a soil medium and how the courts would judge it. Read my posts again if you missed this. I thought it was more than obvious. But, I will repeat it again. I do not believe it would, or should, be classified as a soil, by the courts or anyone else, notwithstanding the illogical nature of the laws which discrimate against indoor growers in the first place. And you will be fighting an uphill battle trying to convince anyone its not hydroponic growing in the context of laws in WA, or any other state which specifically discriminates against hydro growers.

And I would appreciate if you wouldn't shout at me. All my posts in this thread have attempted to address the issue and have responded to specific statements in other posts. If this has upset you, that your problem, I've done nothing wrong.

However I see you are concerned, only white cluster, Luke and I have given opinions in this thread, what do all the other members think?
