Books that changed my life...

Recommended Posts

"Blue Horizon"

written by Wilbur Smith

2003

A Really Well Written Book.

A book set back in early Africa, in the early 18th Century.

I feel this book changed my life, because it showed what courage, skill,

wits & a strong heart, can achieve.

I have never read a book so large, without stopping before.

The story was extremely visually appealing.

P.S. I can even remember reading it in Winter of '07, snuggled in bed.

It was so comfortable & snuggly in my room.

"Boy" and "Going Solo" by Roald Dahl.

Read these as an 8 or 9 year old, came as two books in one. I remember it having a great effect on me. I think it helped me become more comfortable with myself as it helped me realise a person can endure pain and suffering and still enjoy life and bring laughter and enjoyment to others.

Have been meaning to read again for years but I lost it, definitely have to get again.

On another note, no way I could enjoy a book like this in electronic form it just would not be satisfying.
