Cannabis Cancer Treatment Spam

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I received this spam e-mail today:

From: "Ruben Blair" <debunking8@capilanogolf.com>

If you are currently battling against cancer, or you recently lost a loved one to the disease, this could well be of interest.

A Biotech Company which is developing cancer treatments based on raw whole cannabis extracts has taken the unprecedented step of publishing dramatic pictures of a cancer patient who was receiving its medication.

After a period of only two weeks, what is 'the worst case of Squamous Cell Carcinoma' one of the patients specialists had ever seen, was shown to be in dramatic remission.

According to the company info the patients treatment is ongoing, but according to the pictures provided to back up the claims, some of the tumors have disappeared altogether.

Whilst others have shrunk significantly, appearing after two weeks to be a fraction of their original size.

Disclaimer: When a patient is deciding what type of treatment they want to pursue, they should talk with their doctor first, about the specific cancer type that they have and discuss the treament course

That domain is owned by the Chinese. It doesn't seem to be active at the moment. Just another attempt at getting your money either way

The "cannabiskillcancer.com" domain is registered to a Chinese company, however when you visit the site it redirects to "www.cannabisscience.com" it has information on, wait for it.... GW Pharmaceuticals!

http://www.cannabisscience.com/corporate-info.html

I would say the former site is merely setup to disassociate GW from the SPAM.

GW don't have anything to do with that site other than being mentioned as another company in the field of cannabis science. The website design is dated, they should've hired someone who doesn't use a template.

How can GW honestly market Sativex as a cancer drug in one country and a drug to stop "pot addiction" in our country?

You're right. It's run by good ole Dr. Robert J. Melamede. :)

Because the general public don't know any better.

They`re not as far as I know. Sativex is used as a cancer medication in at least a couple of countries in Europe. As to what it has to do with Cannabis withdrawal, you`d be best asking the NCPIC...

Good luck in getting a reasonable and measured response from those muppets.
