My First Grow

Recommended Posts

High everyone :P

My first grow at 4 weeks:

Details

Cupboard grow (approx. 1mtr square)

Plants grown from seed (unsure of strain)

400W HPS (80cm above plants, 22hrs ON/ 2 OFF)

6 x 2 gallon pots

Potting soil (PH 6-6.5)

Small Osolating fan

Large extraction fan

Watering (approx. 1 cup a pot/day)

Was feeding them nutes (Head On Grow) after 2 weeks but seemed to burn them, have not still fully recovered, have new green healthy looking shoots coming through but old almost white leaves on the bottom from nute burn.. should i cut these leaves off??... & im reading up on clipping the shoots and im hoping to grow SCROG when they get about a foot high (they are about 2.5 inches now)

I usually water them when the lights are off...... does this matter?

Thanks in advance for replies :P

Peace

Its not too late to SCrOG - as long as it hasnt flowered the stems should bend into position easilly.

If you feed during the night then do it at the end of the dark period.

I feed every third watering when using soil but you dont need nutes for the first few weeks unless youre growing without soil.

I think you should start some more seeds as having white leaves is a severe problem IMO - are you sure its not damping-off disease [common with soil supposedly]?

cheers for the replies guys ;)

i have in the last few days improved my grow room:

Got a digital thermometer inside the room level with the plants (Temp ranges from 26.3 degrees celcius at night to 29.9 degrees celcius during the hottest time of the day)

Got a intake fan at the bottom and a extracton fan at the top with the rest of the doorway sealed

I also cut the 'white' leaves off, some of the plants look like the new shoots are much greener and they seem to have grown a bit in the last few days after being practically dormant for the last 3 weeks.. 3 plants that have been growing for 5 1/2 weeks are nearly 3 inches tall, the other 3 have been growing for 4 weeks are about 1 1/2 inches tall.. seems slow??

might try cutting down on the watering a bit too..

thats about all i can remember for now ;)

Peace
