imo 3-4 hours of morning sun, spose 3-4 hours of any sun, dappled you mean sun through trees etc. so long as there is sun getting to the plant. remember clouds block out the sun as well and plants grow ok when that happens

AJ, Brick, thanks for the reply lads. Gone the full sun option. Measured it today, and its actually more like 6 hours - 9 to 3ish, so I figure thats pretty good. My last decent outdoor grow had full sun all day, no obstructions(got 20oz of two 6 footers), so i was just curious.

thanks stoned....I did have it on wet paper towel for a coupla days...read so much info that it got confusing, so put it inna pot.....got the pot outa the water now..will let the lil bugger breath...I did wet the potting mix first...is it better inna ground or big pot outside...[if it survives]........[behind the tanks].........enough sun..should be well hidden....no neighbors..

Although, you have missed the premium outdoor growing season - If I may suggest doing it indoor?

the soil needs to stay damp for such a small shoot....no ???...AJ reckons very little water ??...very small shoot....

@jimfish. If you want help I would suggest taking photo's and starting a diary.. Or if you don't want to do that do some more research.. It is very difficult to answer your questions with such a little amount of info.. and it is kinda rude to use someone elses thread to ask questions.

Opinions...Whats better? 3-4 hours of full midday sun, then bits and pieces? Or 8-10 hours of dappled light?(light eucalypt forest)

Wow, take a cutting and do both see how it turns out. I predict the shade one wll be streacher thatn the one that gets full light, but by how much only you can know
