Man charged over drug ring

A 28-year-old man from Gunnedah in New South Wales has been arrested as part of a massive police operation to close down a group they believe responsible for an interstate drug ring.

 

Shannon Bree was arrested by officers from Strike Force Corkscrew after a six month covert operation involving police in South Australia, Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales.

 

The 28-year-old is charged with supplying a commercial quantity of cannabis and has been remanded in custody until February.

 

Police claim the charges involve as much as 30 kilograms of cannabis.
