Tangerine Dream & LSD

Recommended Posts

Well it's been a month since I last posted and 3 out of my 4 have started flowering. The first flowers appeared on the (originally) smaller TD 2 weeks ago and about a week for the other TD and the larger LSD.

I have obviously gone overboard wih the camouflage and have not allowed the girls to get enough light to grow as well as they could; a lesson for next year.

I'm feeding them with Chron's Super Sauce once or twice a week and I gave them a foliar spray of Natrakelp 5:6:19 yesterday. I have some Sulphate of Potash to give them; I was planning on two doses at about 4 and 8 weeks. Does that sound about right or what would the experienced outdoor growers recommend.

I compare my photos of TD to pleasurefeather's ScrOG and it seems to me that he has an Indica dominant phenotype while both of mine look to be Sativa dominant to me. My LSD's look the same to me, based on the leaf shape mainly. The TD's certainly stretched a lot in the 2 weeks prior to flowering and haven't started to fill out yet. I am doubting at this stage whether I will be able to harvest in the 70 days that Barney's Farm claim; I've had a look at a couple of indoor grows that have gone over 110 days. Not what I was hoping for at all.

Now for some photos:

Initially the smaller TD, but as she received more light this should end up my best plant.

The other TD which has been held back by lack of light.

The LSD which has always struggled but is improving as the sunflowers fall away and let more light in. This is the one that hasn't flowered yet.

This is the larger of the LSD.

Yes I got a barneys farm 10 pack as well; it will be interesting comparing them as their flowers develop. I'm not expecting to harvest until sometime in May, could even be in June :twiddle: If I hadn't been so paranoid about visibility and given them full light I think both my TD's would be over 2 metres by now.

drop chrons sauce... its ment for VEG not FLOWERING...................................... it will def give you monsters in VEG but in flowering you need something much lower in N

Thanks for that shroomy, I'll stop using the sauce and use a low N fertilizer from here in.

I haven't been updating recently because I lost my posting rights for an unknown reason but they have somehow magically been restored. The photos are from last weekend (I'll take some more tomorrow) and I'm pleased with the way they are looking. I've been foliar feeding them with 5:6:19 fertiliser (no humidity/mould risk so far) and while it took some time for the first trichomes to become visible to the naked eye, they're starting to look and smell very nice. No swollen calyx as yet however.

To the photos:

This was originally the smaller of the tangerine dream but has overtaken her partner due to more light.

Day 28 of flowering, supposedly out of 70

The larger lsd is a bit stretchy at the moment, I'm hoping it will fill in over the next 5-6 weeks as it is on day 21

We had some reasonably sunny days this week but I wouldn't say they are racing ahead.

Very windy here this morning so tough to keep the girls in focus.

My favourite TD at 35 days in flower

Supposed to get more sun next week so I hope that will move them on somewhat.

A question for you; I'm fertilising once a week at the moment with the 5:6:19. Is that the right frequency?

Lmao, Guys the time on the strains from breeders is for INDOORS. :pardon: 70 days is the time it takes for them to finish flowering indoors.

Pleasure feather.........., easy to blame the breeder man for a growers mistake....in fact .....it's a cop out. Barneys Farm is one of the best breeders in the world and their reputation is second to none.

Plants are looking good Ozraptor, dont change a thing mate. 5:6:19 is gonna be fine for em, if they start looking too hungry you'll know. Also if ya plants look different it's normal. Different Phenotypes occur in seeds, this can explain the different look of the plants, some are more sativa looking, others a lil more Indica looking, happens....... Peace. Nibbler

I wish that was true but I can't see myself harvesting before the middle of May at the earliest. I don't know if I can hold out for another 6 weeks
